Project Description
Sun Chemical Corporation, a global manufacturer of high-quality printing inks and coatings and high-performance organic pigments, retained the services of cmQue, inc. to perform a manufacturing network study. The objective of the study was to determine the location, size, and capabilities of regional centers and service centers that will meet the service requirements of Sun Chemical customers.

Role of Firm
As Prime Consultant, cmQue, inc. developed optimization models of the manufacturing and distribution network of different divisions within HON, used the models to analyze various operating scenarios, and developed recommendations that were the basis for future actions. cmQue provided its subject-matter expertise in freight transportation analysis, supply chain network modeling, and strategic planning. In addition, cmQue also trained HON management staff in the use of analytical methods and network modeling software.
