cmQue, inc. was part of a consulting team that redesigned the manufacturing and distribution network of one of the largest commercial bakers in the country. The objectives of the study were to determine the optimal assignment of manufacturing lines to various bakery locations nationwide and to develop the distribution network that would bring the product to the customer. cmQue was involved in database development, financial analysis, network modeling, alternatives analysis, and strategy development. cmQue also assisted in formulating and developing the optimization models used to evaluate the various scenarios.
