cmQue, inc. assisted the Materials Group of Titan Tire in leveraging their transportation purchasing volume to a select number of high-performing service providers. In addition to developing a core carrier strategy, cmQue, inc. also implemented a combinatorial sequential auction model for purchasing truckload transportation. The auction model is designed to select among competing carrier offerings the combination of carrier assignments that provided the minimum total transportation cost for Titan Tire. In implementing the auction model, cmQue assisted Titan Tire in developing a tiered pricing system that fairly compensated carriers for peak demands on their equipment. cmQue also created statistical models to forecast Titan Tire’s demand for truckload transportation.
